Our client in the field of HR-Tech, based in Vienna, is shaping the future of employee engagement and motivation with its innovative SaaS platform. With a team of 30 and as part of the HR Works Group, the platform already supports numerous companies across Europe. To further expand, the company is looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to scale the technical foundation, optimize performance, and further develop the architecture to be future-proof.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop platform services and tools: Build and maintain internal tools and platform features using Python and Django
- Manage cloud infrastructure: Maintain and optimize AWS infrastructure (EKS, S3, SES, Lambda, etc.)
- Drive automation: Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Ensure performance and reliability: Set up observability systems (logging, metrics, tracing) and incident management
- Infrastructure as Code: Manage infrastructure with Terraform while maintaining high-quality standards
- Improve developer experience: Provide documentation, runbooks, and self-service capabilities
- Ensure security and compliance: Implement security standards and support compliance requirements
- Collaborate closely with development teams: Engage in continuous improvement of the platform
Your profile:
- Several years of professional experience: 5–8 years in software, platform, or DevOps engineering
- Coding skills: Solid experience with Python (Django/FastAPI is a plus or willingness to learn)
- Cloud expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services, especially EKS, S3, SES, Lambda
- Kubernetes experience: Knowledge of configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting in production environments
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform or similar tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Pulumi)
- CI/CD proficiency: Familiar with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar tools
- Containerization: In-depth knowledge of Docker and container orchestration
- Monitoring: Familiar with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
- Agile mindset: Team-oriented approach with strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)
- Willingness to learn: Openness to new technologies and methods
