Senior Scientist -

Assistive & Autonomous Systems

Vienna | Full-Time

Your responsibilities:

• Lead national and European research projects in the field of “Assistive & Autonomous Systems”
• Inquire into advanced methods for sensor Data Analysis and Machine Learning algorithms
• Perform use-case-based research and commercial oriented projects while leading a team of ten experienced scientists
• Publish results in top scientific journals
• Support active communication with research partners, represent the unit at international scientific conferences and trade fairs
• Assist in guiding the strategic research direction by working on independent and industrial projects, promoting new ideas into the business area

Your Profile:

• Academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar fields
• Solid knowledge and experience in Machine Learning, especially in the design of complex algorithms (good knowledge of Computer Vision will be valued)
• Skills in programming (Python/ C/C++/ MATLAB)
• Solid experience in the world of science and research work
• Strong interest in the Machine Learning, Vision & Automation area development
• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders from the research and industrial & business areas
• Proficiency in English written and spoken, knowledge of German is of advantage

• Salary range between 70.000€ and 80.000€ gross p.a. fixed, with the real possibility of overpayment depending on your experience and qualifications
