Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Tax Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Tax to address national and international tax matters within the group. Your responsibilities will include transfer pricing projects, maintaining and enhancing transfer pricing documentation, calculating current and deferred taxes for periodic financial statements, and supporting the preparation of annual financial statements.

  • Provide assistance to the Head of Tax in handling various tax issues related to group tax law at both national and international levels
  • Contribute to transfer pricing projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Take part in the calculation of current and deferred taxes for periodic financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with national and international requirements for the DO & CO group companies.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for group companies, authorities, and external tax advisors. Foster effective communication and coordination to address tax-related inquiries and maintain strong relationships.
  • Lead a wide range of projects within the tax department, encompassing various areas of taxation, with a specific focus on Pillar 2 initiatives.
Qualifications

We are looking for someone who ...

  • Completed studies with a focus on national and international tax law and/or business taxation
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in a tax consulting firm or in an international tax department or Big Four desirable
  • Certified tax advisor or or on the path to obtaining the certificate (Berufsanwärter Steuerberater)
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Knowledge, flexibility and interest in Austrian tax laws and regulations, as well as international tax practices
  • Demonstrates independent and accurate way of working
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Proficiency in English and German is essential
  • Collaborative and dependable team player
