Software Functional Safety Engineer

Vienna I Full-time (38.5 hours/week)

Your responsibilities :

As a Software Functional Safety Engineer, you are part of a team that develops future drive systems for electric and hybrid vehicles. After an appropriate training period, you will take on the following tasks, among others:

• Definition of the Functional Safety (FuSa) concept
• Definition and continuous development of software design, implementation and verification methods to achieve FuSa standards
• Creation, maintenance and review of work products according to ISO26262
• Supporting the software team in achieving project goals according to FuSa
• Presentation of the Software FuSa strategy to customers, auditors and other stakeholders

Your profile:

• Completion of technical training (FH/TU) with a focus on computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar
• High interest in safety-critical systems
• Ideally, initial work experience in the field of functional safety, preferably in the automotive industry
• Experience in software development
• Structured way of working and self-organization
• Open to occasional business travelling
• Fluency in English
