Compliance & Certification Manager (m/f/d)

to join our team in Vienna, Austria, on a full-time basis.

Your main tasks at a glance:

  • Regulatory Compliance Management: Ensure all products comply with applicable international and regional regulations, including CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and other relevant standards.
  • Certification Coordination: Collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to obtain all necessary certifications and corresponding documents, including certifications required under the EU Green Deal initiatives.
  • Drafting Certificates of Conformity: Prepare and issue certificates of conformity in compliance with various local regulations and standards, ensuring accurate documentation for each region.
  • Supplier and Partner Management: Maintain communication with suppliers and manufacturing partners to collect and validate technical documentation, declarations of conformity, and sustainability certifications.
  • ESG Support: Assist in preparing and coordinating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reports, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and alignment with the company’s sustainability goals.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement processes to streamline certification workflows, improve compliance efficiency, and ensure effective cooperation with external partners.
  • Market-Specific Requirements: Monitor and ensure adherence to specific regulatory requirements in the EMEA region, liaising with partners to address any region-specific challenges.
  • Audit and Inspection Preparation: Prepare for and manage external audits or inspections related to product compliance, certifications, and ESG reporting, ensuring supplier compliance aligns with internal standards.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to management on compliance status, potential risks, and delays, including those arising from partner or supplier issues.

Your profile: What You Bring to the Table:

  • Experience in Compliance and Certification: Several years of experience in regulatory compliance, product certification, and sustainability initiatives, ideally in the consumer electronics industry.
  • Expertise in Green Deal and ESG: Knowledge of certifications required under the EU Green Deal and familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and standards.
  • Supplier Coordination Skills: Proven ability to work with global manufacturing partners and suppliers to secure certifications, technical documentation, and compliance guarantees.
  • Knowledge of Standards: In-depth understanding of relevant regulations such as CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH, and WEEE. Familiarity with global and sustainability-related standards is an advantage.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret technical standards, legal requirements, and sustainability criteria accurately and effectively.
  • System Proficiency: Experience with compliance management tools and software, ideally Microsoft Business Central or similar systems.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. German and other foreign languages are an advantage.
  • Organized and Solution-Oriented Approach: A structured, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
